Professor Suping Lu, University Libraries, is internationally recognized for his extensive scholarship of the Nanjing Massacre and wartime atrocities in East Asia. After a career spanning over three decades at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries, Lu will be retiring on June 30, 2026.
An exhibit of some of his paintings, drawings, and books will highlight his retirement celebration. Fifteen portraits, including two self-portraits and matching drawings, will be on display on the second floor of Love Library South. A bookcase will contain twenty books he has published.
A reception celebrating his retirement and exhibition is scheduled for May 7, from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in Love Library South, Room 221 (Peterson Room).
