Loneliness and isolation are problems that are increasing on college campuses. Typically, we tend to think of these issues as related to our student population. However, these concerns also affect our faculty and staff. In fact, research tells us that faculty and staff who have community resources are more likely to be retained. With this thought in mind, it would make sense that building community would be vital for young professionals who have moved to our campus from around the country and around the world.
