The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Glenn Korff School of Music 28-member voice Chamber Choir, the Chamber Singers, will perform in the Sheldon Museum of Art, Sunday afternoon October 25 at 4 p.m. The program will feature classical favorites by Bruckner, Mozart and Rossini; contemporaries Messiaen, Manuel, Kemner and Swedish Composer Anders Paulsson’s unique arrangement of Deep River, featuring Glenn Korff School of Music Associate Professor of Saxophone and Director of Jazz Studies Paul Haar on Soprano Saxophone. A highlight of the day will be the premiere performance of “Forever Music” by Mark Hayes.
The University Chamber Singers, directed by Eph Ehly, are UNL’s premiere vocal chamber ensemble. A small choir of 24-28 voices, it is intended to provide the highest level of choral chamber performance experience for graduate and undergraduate singers at the Glenn Korff School of Music and throughout the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
