PORTRAITS: a musical revue
“If the eyes are the window to the soul, then singing is a window to the heart…”
directed by Alisa Belflower
featuring Louis Claussen at the piano
What makes someone interesting to you? The graduate and undergraduate theatre and vocal music majors performing in PORTRAITS have been on a quest to discover the most interesting and unique characters they can find in musical theatre. Thirteen brief musical theatre scenes will be performed to introduce you to each character through an intimate, musical portrait. Each portrait allows the audience a musical glimpse into what makes these characters so intriguing.
This revue features performances by eighteen of UNL most talented student performers, many of whom have already won national and international recognition. It promises to be a very exciting evening! Traditional through Contemporary musicals provide the backdrop for the variety of scenes to be performed. The performance will be 75 minutes in duration and is free and open to the public. No tickets required.
