The School of Music will host a 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7 recital featuring guest saxophonist Dan Goble joined by vocalist Patty Goble and pianist Jeff Hirshfield.


The performance, which is free and open to the public, is in Westbrook Music Building.


Dan Goble is a professor and director of the School of Music, Theatre and Dance at Colorado State University. An arts administrator and active performer, Goble has performed with the New York Philharmonic for more than 18 years, and has been a featured saxophone soloist with the orchestra.

In addition to the New York Philharmonic, Goble has performed with the New York City Ballet, American Symphony Orchestra, Mariinsky Orchestra, New York Saxophone Quartet and Harvey Pittel Saxophone Quartet.

Patty Goble is a professional singer and actress whose last Broadway performance was as Miss Jones in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.” The production included Daniel Radcliffe and John Laroquette. She teaches courses in musical theatre at Colorado State University.

Hirshfield has been featured in recitals around the world, performing traditional and contemporary music. He is a professor of music at Western Connecticut State University.
