The Large Brass Ensembles in the Glenn Korff School of Music will perform at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 20 in Kimball Recital Hall.

The ensembles include the Husker Horn Choir, the Nebraska Trombone Ensemble and the Nebraska Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble. The title of the recital is “Brasstastic.”

The horn choir, directed by Alan Mattingly, professor of music, will present works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Florian Janezic.

The trombone ensemble, directed by Scott Anderson, professor of music, will showcase “Beatlemania.” Songs will include “Back in the USSR,” “Happiness is a Warm Gun,” “For No One” and “Get Back.”

The tuba-euphonium ensemble, directed by Craig Fuller, a senior lecturer in music, will present world premiere compositions by Andrew Barber and Ashley Joseph, both junior music majors at Nebraska. The group will also perform pieces by Marcel Frank and Andrea Gabrielli.
