The University of Nebraska Brass Quintet will present its campus recital on Monday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall. The program is built around the Bachs. That sounds tried and true, but it’s not the same Bachs you are used to. Of course, we will play music by J.S. Bach, but it is bookended by music by Jan Bach. In addition to Laudes by Jan and Contrapunctus IX by Johann Sebastian, the program will include No Comment by Juraj Filas and the beautiful quintet by Michael Kamen. The University of Nebraska Brass Quintet is comprised of Scott Quackenbush and K. Craig Bircher on trumpet, Alan Mattingly on horn, trombonist Scott Anderson and tubist Craig Fuller.

The University of Nebraska Brass Quintet is comprised of the faculty from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. The quintet is dedicated to the performance of original repertoire works and new music for brass quintet.
