Violist Clark Potter of UNL’s Glenn Korff School of Music is joined by his friends from the Trans-Nebraska Players to present “A Wintry Mix” on Sunday, Jan. 13 at 3:00 at Kimball Recital Hall. Works by Bloch, Vivaldi, Martinu, Haydn and Dvorak highlight the performance, which also features Franziska Brech, UNK flute faculty, David C. Neely, UNL violin faculty, Noah Rogoff, UNK cello faculty, and James Margetts, pianist and Dean at Chadron State College.

A native of Longview, Washington, Clark Potter is associate professor of viola at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he is also on the conducting faculty. Mr. Potter is principal viola of the Lincoln Symphony, director of NEBratsche (the university’s viola ensemble), and he is an active performer as a solo recitalist and chamber musician. Mr. Potter has conducted the Lincoln Youth Symphony since 2007. He is also a member of two chamber ensembles and is in demand as an adjudicator and clinician at schools in Nebraska and around the region. He has conducted All-State Middle School Orchestras and has appeared more than 20 times as a guest conductor of high school honors orchestras.
