The George Walker Festival will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the first Black composer to win the Pulitzer Prize in Music. Several GKSOM ensembles, faculty soloists, and student chamber groups will feature the music of George Walker. Additionally, choirs from Lincoln and Lincoln Northeast High Schools will join us with guest conductor Jan Taylor to premiere “We Are the Music Makers,” a commissioned song by Reginal Wright.
