There is wide global variation in educational culture that can make it challenging for international students to understand expectations around classroom participation, assessment structure, and student-faculty relationships at UNL. In this workshop sponsored by ISSO and the CTT, a panel of international students and instructors who work closely with international students will discuss some of the biggest challenges faced when transitioning to the US academic culture as well as what instructors can do to help international students be more successful and feel more welcome in our classrooms.
