Learn how to make some yummy chocolate chip cookies and how to exhibit them at the county fair in Cooking 101. We will be using an oven to bake the cookies - adult permission and supervision is required.

Materials needed: Measuring spoons, measuring cups, mixer (hand or stand) or spoon, spatula, baking sheet, 1 c. salted butter (softened), 1 c. white (granulated) sugar, 1 c. light brown sugar, 2 tsp. vanilla extract, 2 large eggs, 3 c. all purpose flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. sea salt, 2 c. chocolate chips (or chunks, or chopped chocolate)
