Nearly 200 years ago, photography was born. As you can imagine, things have changed a little bit. In this workshop, youth will: 1) learn the nuts and bolts of photography; 2) understand the difference between a snapshot and art; 3) explore new and exciting ways to enhance photography skills; and 4) have fun of course!
Instructor: Lauren Stohlmann, Extension Educator
Materials needed: A piece of equipment capable of taking pictures* such as a phone, a tablet, a camera, paper and pencil, a lamp or other source of light, something you love, i.e., a stuffed animal, a trophy, your pet; a snack you found in your house, a picture you took that are proud of, something colorful, something black, white or gray, something you found in nature, i.e., a flower, a leaf, grass, a stick, listening ears because we’ll be moving around during this workshop. *While laptops have the ability to take pictures with the photobooth app, they are not ideal for photography.
