This workshop has a little something for everyone! Youth will learn basic plant parts, what plants need, and why plants are so important. Youth will create a very cute craft to not only remind them of what they learned, but something that can be entered in the county fair! And for you older youth - this is the perfect opportunity to develop an exhibit for the human development department. Create a poster to show you teaching your younger siblings about plant needs, or develop a babysitting kit! The possibilities are almost endless with this workshop. Not all supplies will be included in the kit sent to registered 4-Hers so please be sure to gather additional supplies prior to the workshop.

Materials needed: The following supplies are not a part of the kit and will need to be provided by the participant: potting soil, scissors, glue, tape, cup to scoop soil, funnel to put soil into pantyhose (can cut the bottom off a plastic cup), Crafting supplies i.e. craft paper, markers or crayons, empty pop can or mason jar

Cost: $20 for kit
