Join us for a GREEK Symposium!
A long, long time ago… (in the ancient world), Greece was once one of the foremost producers of wine. Symposiums were banquets that took place and after a meal drinking for pleasure was accompanied by music, dancing, recitals, and conversation. A symposium was overseen by a “symposiarch” who would decide how strong the wine for the evening would be, depending on whether serious discussions or sensual indulgence were in the offing.
We will be your symposiarchs for the evening, and taste through a variety of wines from a few different regions of Greece. From a Assyrtiko (which originates from the breathtaking island of Santorini), to a Savatiano – most historic white grape in all of Greece. The wine and its accompaniments are sure to delight you!
