This Startup Workshop, taking place over two days, will provide training and networking opportunities to help you think through a range of topics related to starting a company.
We’ll cover the practical side of things, including idea validation, entity formation and funding your startup. We’ll also examine the startup journey from a personal perspective as we hear from faculty founders about their journeys, lessons they’ve learned and mistakes they’ve made. Additional guest speakers will share their experiences with business accelerator programs and other structured support networks.
You’ll also get a chance to apply this workshop content right away. You’ll learn about how to craft a short “pitch” or presentation about your idea and will present in small groups. This small group networking activity will enable you to meet many resource providers from the local entrepreneurship support ecosystem.
Because content will build from Day 1 to Day 2, attendance is required for the entirety of the workshop. We hope you can join us!
A detailed agenda will be posted on the registration page soon. Spaces are limited. Please register online at: https://go.unl.edu/fromideatostartup
