This event will celebrate past, present, and future high-impact, cooperative research between ARS, the chief in-house research agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the University of Nebraska, and mark our first steps in constructing this new scientific facility.
When completed, the NCRRPA will house scientists and staff in the ARS Agroecosystem Management Research Unit and ARS Wheat, Sorghum and Forage Research Unit. Research in these units focuses on developing sustainable integrated cropping systems and livestock management technologies and improving the productivity and sustainability of wheat, sorghum, and forage crops. When finished, the NCRRPA will enable ARS and the University of Nebraska to expand their longstanding research partnerships on key issues associated with precision agriculture, water management, and climate resilience to improve the efficiency and sustainability of U.S. agriculture.
