 “Day Without Shoes” event. Organized by People’s City Mission and Co
 rnhusker Bank\, the event aims to collect new or used wearable footwear fo
 r people in need. \n\nFrom March 31 – April 11\, NIC Partners and the Li
 ncoln community are encouraged to bring new or wearable used shoes to Nebr
 aska Nova’s office (Suite 1100 | Entrance A | north most building) betwe
 en 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekdays. The footwear will be distributed to Nebraska
 ns in need by People’s City Mission.

DESCRIPTION:Graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Nebras
 ka–Lincoln are invited to participate in the 2025 Engineering Pitch Comp
 etition. The competition is hosted by the College of Engineering and NUtec
 h Ventures.\nThe Pitch Competition will take place on Tuesday\, April 1st\
 , 2025 from 4\:30-7\:30pm at the College of Engineering's Kiewit Hall\, Ro
 om A211 on the Lincoln City Campus.\n\nGuidelines\:\n\n Teams can have 1-5
  participants\, with at least one participant from the College of Engineer
 ing. Interdisciplinary teams are strongly encouraged.\n The team must be f
 ocused on solving an engineering problem.\n Individuals may only register 
 once for this competition and may not compete on more than one team.\n\nJu
 dging Criteria and Awards\:\n\nThe competition is judged based on particip
 ants' ability to identify an important problem\, formulate a value proposi
 tion related to solving that problem\, estimate market size and describe t
 heir business model. Technical details will only be discussed at a very hi
 gh level.\n\nThe competition features prizes for the top three finalists. 
 All prize money must be used to further develop the business idea (travel\
 , materials for prototypes\, etc.).
