Mr. Blue Rose is Delta Phi Lambda’s annual philanthropic fundraiser male pageant show! The purpose of Mr. Blue Rose is to raise awareness for our national philanthropy, Osteoporosis Awareness and Prevention alongside the other foundations each contestant chose to present. Contestants campaign for Fan Favorite for 2 days before Mr. Blue Rose with bingo boards on their Instagrams toward the event with the individual with the most funds winning Fan Favorite. The pageant’s format consists of five rounds, with the last being only for our Top 3 contestants. The show starts with a group performance from all contestants before the transition into the first round, Introduction, where contestants have the opportunity to capture the hearts of the audiences with their organization pride. As the contestants transition into the next round, the MCs are able to educate the audience on the purpose of our national philanthropy. The next round is Talent, where contestants showcase a talent of their choice. As the Talent portion transitions from the first half to the second half of the round, the MCs discuss what type of diet people should have to prevent Osteoporosis. Lastly, as the Talent portion wraps up, the MCs present ways to prevent Osteoporosis in everyday life and into Intermission. Guests could buy entries for a raffle which we will host throughout the month to continue our efforts to raise money for the event. As the show returns, contestants complete their Formal Walk and answered questions during Q&A Part 1 where they will be asked why they chose their foundation. As judges calculate scores to determine the Top 3, we will have Minute-It-To-Win-It games centered on the facts shared throughout the program. Lastly, the pageant concludes with Q&A Part 2 with our Top 3 and ends with the announcement of our winners. The crowned Mr. Blue Rose will get to take home a $400 donation, 2nd Place gets a $200 donation, and 3rd gets a $100 donation to their foundation of choice. With all the funds raised, the Fan Favorite Winner also gets a $100 donation and the remaining contestants get $50 towards their foundations for their participation.
