Abstract:
“We present a detailed discussion on the physical aspects of high harmonic generation from intense lasers interacting with electron beams, atoms, solids and plasmas. The physical mechanisms for each system will be described long with relevant scaling laws. Additionally, the efficiency and viability as a source for attosecond physics will be addressed. Finally, we will give a brief overview of applications for high harmonics and future sources.”
