Opening reception for “We Are Star People: The Art and Poetry of Gwen Westerman.” Join the museum and Westerman herself for a free reception (with food!) for this new exhibition (opens Sept. 1). Westerman will give a gallery talk at 6 p.m.

Westerman is the 2014 Contemporary Indigeneity Exhibition Prize winner and the exhibition features unique quilts and textiles alongside poetry inspired by personal connections to her Dakota family history.

The event is free and open to the public!
