An assistant professor of international history at the London School of Economics, Black will speak about her new book, “The Global Interior: Mineral Frontiers and American Power” (Harvard University Press, 2018), which explores an American project of global extraction spearheaded by the U.S. Department of the Interior in the twentieth century.

All events at the Center for Great Plains Studies are free and open to the public. Parking is usually available in the Que Place garage at 11th and Q streets.
