As part of Lincoln’s Welcoming Week 2024, Sheldon Museum of Art joins the Office of Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement in presenting Civil Conversations, a time to build a better understanding with fellow students and community members from all different backgrounds through respectful dialogue about civic engagement and voting.

Participants will tour the exhibition Voting is People Power and then engage in facilitated conversations with one another. Afterwards, make a “vote” button and stop by the Husker Vote Coalition table to register to vote and to learn more about the 2024 elections. Light refreshments provided.

Welcoming Week is an annual campaign that celebrates the work in communities to become welcoming places for all, including immigrants and refugees. Learn more about Lincoln’s Welcoming Week, September 13–22, at https://welcominglnk.org/welcoming-week/.
