DESCRIPTION:Join us for a discussion on U.S. Constitutionalism and Native A
 merican Sovereignty with Ned Blackhawk (Yale University) and Maggie Blackh
 awk (New York University).\n\nNed Blackhawk will discuss his recent book T
 he Rediscovery of America\: Native Peoples and the Unmaking of U.S. Histor
 y\, which argues for the centrality of Native people and their nations thr
 oughout American history from the colonial era to the present. Maggie Blac
 khawk will discuss the influence of her work on Supreme Court cases includ
 ing Brackeen and McGirt as well as her scholarship on the centrality of Fe
 deral Indian Law in Constitutional Law\, which is both a curricular and co
 nceptual concern. Together\, they will discuss the NYU-Yale American India
 n Sovereignty Project\, a hub that supports initiatives pertaining to trib
 al sovereignty and federal Indian law in the United States. \n\nKatrina Ja
 godinsky of UNL’s Digital Legal Research Lab will moderate the discussio
 n and invite questions from the audience\, including our students. You can
