The Office of Research and Economic Development is offering a two-part virtual workshop to aid faculty in designing effective broader impacts plans. Delivered by Jocelyn Bosley, research impact coordinator in ORED, objectives of the event are to help faculty understand NSF’s broader impacts requirements, gain insight into how these plans are evaluated by reviewers and learn how the concept of a broader impacts identity enables them to leverage their strengths and values to maximize the impact of their research. Participants also will learn about successful broader impacts approaches used by others.
The first session, Broader Impacts 101, is 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., and the second session, Developing Your Broader Impacts Identity, is 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Participants may attend one or both of the training sessions.
