Join the Office of Research and Innovation and the Association of Women in Science (https://awis.org/) for a luncheon celebrating women in science and their impact. Kimberly Andrews Espy, president of Wayne State University, will be guest speaker. Espy, a former associate vice chancellor at UNL, also has served in research leadership roles at the University of Texas at San Antonio, the University of Arizona and the University of Oregon. Kim Espy will discuss her personal journey as a female scientist and leader in her seminar, “GO BIG: A Career Journey Through 25 Years of Leadership in Higher Education.” Dr. Espy will describe her leadership philosophy and accomplishments as she advanced in academic leadership positions in higher education over the past 25 years. She will also share advice to help faculty succeed, be recognized, and achieve their full potential throughout their careers.
The luncheon will be at Nebraska East Union, Prairie Suite, from 11:30-1:00 and is part of the Nebraska Research Days (https://research.unl.edu/fallresearchdays/) activities.
