Join the Office of Research and Innovation and the Association for Women in Science (https://awis.org/) for a luncheon celebrating women in science and their impact. The guest speaker will be Susan Martinis, vice chancellor for research and innovation at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, who will present “GO BIG: A Career Journey of Leadership in STEM.” Martinis, who is also Stephen G. Sligar Professor of molecular and cellular biology, will discuss her journey as a scientist in both academia and private industry, and as an administrator who leads the way in advancing public-private-governmental partnerships. She will describe her leadership philosophy and offer advice to help faculty maximize their potential.

The luncheon will be at the Nebraska East Union, Great Plains Room, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is part of Nebraska Research Days. (https://research.unl.edu/fallresearchdays/)
