“Making of a Champion” is a powerful, uplifting event where attendees are invited to sing along to inspiring cover songs performed by a full live band, shop from more than 20 local vendors, and hear firsthand stories from individuals who have triumphed over adversity. The event is named to reflect the belief that every person carries the seeds of greatness within.

Designed to reach hundreds of young adults, this event offers a space to encounter the life-changing message of God’s love and hear first-hand stories of triumph over adversity. The organizers seek to infuse joy into each community we visit by reminding each person we encounter that he or she matters. They prioritize building meaningful partnerships with each local community, in an effort to establish pathways for long-term, meaningful connections. Recognizing authentic community as an antidote to the epidemic of anxiety, depression and despair, they aim to foster hope and belonging. Although the event is primarily geared toward the next generation, it is open to all ages and free to attend.

We are seeking nominations for a Rebel Champion!

Award Criteria:

We’re looking for a local high school junior, senior, or college student who has shown extraordinary resilience in the face of adversity and used their strength to encourage others.

- Has overcome significant challenges (mental, emotional, physical, or social)
- Inspires others through their words, actions, or presence
- Demonstrates hope, courage, and leadership

The Winner Receives:
- Public recognition and award at the May 4 event
- A $500 scholarship to support their goals
