Volunteers are needed to help with the new STEM (science, technology, engineering & mathematics) exhibit down at the State Fair. This exhibit provides a learning environment for youth in the 4 areas listed above. We are seeking students to come down and help staff the booths with the different activities revolving around STEM. The volunteer area is in the new Nebraska Building. If we could have 2 students per booth that would be amazing! The amount of people we would need will vary from day to day depending on the amount of booths we would have to man each day. This is an amazing opportunity for students to come down and receive service hours. The best part about volunteering in the STEM exhibit is the fact that the volunteers will be inside the entire time. Volunteers will not have to worry about being out in the heat or any other elements, because the building is in a controlled environment. The volunteers will be working with youth. I know that the State Fair falls within the first week of classes, but it would be an amazing opportunity for students to utilize, especially if they need service hours.
