“Advances in Sustainable Production of Omega-3 Fatty Acids” will be presented by Ross Zirkle, director, Molecular Biotechnology, DSM Nutritional Products in Columbia, Maryland.
Currently leading the R&D effort in molecular biotechnology, their main focus is on molecular biology, engineering and development of microalgae that produce omega-3 fatty acids. Other R&D efforts and experience include protein and biofuel production as well as natural product genetics. Zirkle’s background is in biochemistry, microbiology and molecular biology.
