The School of Natural Resources is a department within the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and also a department within the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR). On Wednesday, August 20 you have been invited to attend the CAS TA Training in Burnett Hall Room 115 from 8 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. This open to any of our graduate students not just TAs. Many of the sessions are beneficial to you outside of the classroom. TAs for the 2014-15 academic year may have been told about this in your offer letter with new TAs being told that attendance is mandatory.

Deadline to sign up is August 13, and a reminder will be sent August 18.

9:00 – 10:30 am IIPP & Emergency Preparedness – Betsy Howe (required of anyone who earns a paycheck from UNL)
10:45 – 12:00 pm Situational Awareness – Koan Nissen (good for all who are interested)
12:00 – 1:00 pm Lunch on your own
1:00 – 2:30 pm UNL Safety & Chemical Safety Training – Betsy Howe (for anyone working with or around chemicals and/or in labs)
2:30 – 3:30 pm Blackboard Learn 9.1 Featuring: Service Pack 14 – Jeremy Van Hof (good anyone interested)
3:45 – 4:45 pm IACUC General Animal Training for UNL Staff & Students Handling Animals – Kathy Pinkerton (good for all who need the training, must be renewed every 5 years)

Snacks will be available, lunch is on your own.
