Are you concerned about how your business will handle Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) quarantined materials once EAB is confirmed in your location? The Nebraska Department of Agriculture is holding an informational program in March to answer your questions.

Date: March 3, 2017
Time: 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Location: Lancaster County Extension Office
Address: 444 Cherrycreek Rd., Lincoln, NE

This program will help industry members learn more about the EAB quarantine, articles regulated under the quarantine and how to handle regulated articles so they are in compliance with the quarantine. Articles which are regulated by this quarantine include any ash material, ash logs and lumber, hardwood mulch and firewood, ash nursery stock and pallets.

Members of the green industry, including arborists, nursery stock distributors, saw mill operators, mulch producers and distributors, pallet manufacturers and firewood producers and dealers are potentially impacted by the EAB quarantine and are encouraged to attend.

Nebraska counties currently under state and federal EAB quarantine are Cass, Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy and Washington counties. Additional counties will fall under quarantine guidelines as EAB is confirmed in new locations throughout the state. Learn how to comply with quarantine guidelines so your business is ready when EAB in found in your area.

This program is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is requested so program materials can be prepared. Register by calling the Lancaster Extension Office at (402) 441-7180. For more information contact:
