From our friend with the National Park Service in Valentine, Kristen Maxwell:
On July 28, 2018, we will be holding an event called “Splash! A Water Symposium.” This event will feature a selection of activities and lectures for adults and children from 12:00 until 3:00. We are seeking a Master Naturalist to present a program for children on water (suggested activity is a version of Project Wet’s “A Drop in the Bucket,” but we’re open to other ideas). The Master Naturalists would be needed to present from 1:30-3:00 (during two, 45-minute sessions), but the activity may be presented “fair-style,” in ongoing shorter segments. This program will be held in Valentine, Nebraska, at MidPlains Community College, in conjunction with a Smithsonian traveling exhibition on display at our visitor center. Please email or call for more information.
