The Natural Resources Diversity and Inclusion Committee will discuss “What is diversity?” and “What does it mean to promote diversity and inclusion?” at noon Friday, Oct. 5 in 901 Hardin.
NRDI wants the conversation to be positive and useful, answering:
• How do we talk about diversity in a way that doesn’t send a message that it’s a zero-sum-game?
• How do we make sure the idea of “diversity and inclusion” doesn’t turn anyone off, or make them feel excluded?
• What are some of the goals our department can consider to support diversity and inclusion in a way that is actually inclusive?
