9:30 AM—Storytelling
Prairie Pines recognizes the culture and nature ethics of America’s first people with storytelling through drum and song in Virginia’s Garden. Lakota storyteller Jerome Kills Small will give a presentation for all ages entitled “Children Stories, Animal Stories and Traditional Lakota Stories”

10:45 AM—Presentation
Jerome Kills Small will give another presentation entitled “Seven Sacred Rights of the Lakota”. After the presentations, kids can explore the Corn Crib Library and visitors can create Ojibwe willow dreamcatchers. Program support from Humanities Nebraska

Prairie Pines Nature Preserve foot trails and the kids Nature Ninja course are open to the public every Second Saturday of the month from 8 AM-5 PM. Kinetic Brew coffee and smoothies will be available for purchase from 9 AM-1 PM, June through October. Children must be accompanied by adults.
