5th Annual Hubbard Lecture—First Peoples of the Plains. Featured lecture by Lance Morgan, CEO & President of Ho-Chunk Inc. During much of the 20th Century, economic opportunities on native reservations were scarce. Through increased advocacy, business development, and job creation, Native communities are changing the story. lance Morgan is a member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska and will share how new economic initiatives are dramatically improving the future for Nebraska Tribes. Event is free and open to the public, thanks to generous contributions from Anne M. Hubbard, M.D., the Claire M. Hubbard Foundation. Sponsored by the University of Nebraska State Museum with the Center for Great Plains Studies, Great Plains Art Museum. Reception at 6 PM, lecture begins at 7 PM.
