Want to meet new people? Looking for a new tote bag? Come hang out with the First Generation Nebraska RSO outside Love Library South to tie-dye a tote bag and meet other first generation students at UNL.
First gen RSO events are open to all first gen students and allies. We hope to see you soon!

The First-Generation Student Club sponsors events to build friendships and social networks across the first-generation student community. We meet every other Thursday from 5-6 pm. First generation students and their allies are welcome to all events. Join our email list so that you receive reminders about events and updates on other special opportunities for first generation students, such as free basketball and Lied Center tickets, lunches with faculty and staff in the dining halls, and more!

The term “first-generation” applies to the one in four UNL students who come from families whose parents/guardians do not have a four-year degree.
