DESCRIPTION:Many university classrooms in the US have specific expectations
  around classroom engagement that include teamwork and participating in di
 scussions. These expectations are very different from how education works 
 in many areas of the world which can make it challenging for international
  students to adjust. In this workshop sponsored by ISSO and the CTT\, a pa
 nel of international students and instructors who work closely with intern
 ational students will discuss what classroom engagement looks like in othe
 r educational systems as well as what instructors can do to better clarify
  their expectations and provide more flexible options for engagement. \n\n
