Join the Office of Research and Innovation for the Faculty Research and Creative Activity Slam. This event is a part of Nebraska Research Days activities. The Slam offers faculty a platform to share their research, scholarship or creative endeavors through rapid-fire talks that are entertaining and easy to understand.

Faculty selected to present during the Slam will have five minutes to speak. A panel of judges from the Lincoln community will select the winner, who will receive a $1,000 prize. Audience members also will select their favorite, who will receive a special audience choice award. This year’s Slammers are:

-Nirupam Aich, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering
-Teddy Garcia-Aroca, assistant professor of plant pathology
-James Garza, associate professor of history and Institute for Ethnic Studies
-Becky Haddad, assistant professor of agricultural leadership, education and communication
-Andrew Little, assistant professor, School of Natural Resources
-Wendy Smith, research professor of mathematics and director of the Center for Science, Mathematics and Computer
Education
