Chancellor Perlman will recognize UNL achievements in distance education and the pioneering individuals that helped pave the way. Please join us as we recognize Dr. Ron Hull, Nebraska Educational Television, and Dr. Charles Ansorge, Department of Educational Psychology, as UNL Distance Education Pioneers. Faculty receiving Fall 2009 EE&O course development grants will be announced and recognized. Refreshments provided.

The UNL Economics Department will host a seminar; “Immigrant Enclaves and the Success of Entrepreneurial Ventures” presented by Professor Charlie Braymen, Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Kansas State University. Dr. Braymen completed his undergraduate studies at UNL, where he was a Phi Beta Kappa honoree. The seminar will be from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. on November 9, 2009 in room 222 College of Business Administration. Lecture by Carrie Walker, Ph.D student in English at UNL. Carrie will be speaking about serving as a representative of the Women and Gender Studies Transnational Feminism group, at the Commission on the Status of Women Conference at the United Nations in New York from February 28 - March 7, 2009.
