Planning to be a part of the BIG picture

This session will provide background and information on wide variety of ‘big picture’ communications initiatives and events:

-May commencement will be in Memorial Stadium. This is a great opportunity and challenge. Director of Events and the Visitor Center Annette Wetzel, and Assistant Director from the Office of the Registrar, Jennifer Verhein, will join us for a brief and insightful discussion on how the UNL community can work together to make this an exceptional event.

-University Communications is leading the effort to shoot many more new photos that you can use on the Web, in publications, and in other ways. We’re in the process of identifying scenes, locations and students to include. We’ll take a few moments to talk about this effort and hear your ideas.

-Last week’s snow day provided us with new Web use information during an intense communications period. We’ll share what we learned and talk about how you can use such information.

-We’ll take a quick look at the top recommendations for communications for colleges and departments, as well as most desired types of stories to support recruitment and give you a few samples of what those look like—and share ideas for more.

-For those who would appreciate a one-on-one tutorial on use of the calendar system or the Announce system, stick around and we’ll have help on hand.
