This class is being hosted by the Douglas/Sarpy County Extension Master Gardeners. There is no Husker football game that Saturday!
Bob Henrickson, Horticulture Program Coordinator with the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, will be the feature class speaker/designer.
The class is FREE because of the generosity of our sponsors. We are requesting a donation of some can goods from each attendee.
The class will kick off with a power point presentation on fall arrangements. A break with refreshments will then follow. Bob will then go into the art of designing fall dried arrangements. All materials used in Bob’s artistic design have been collected in Nebraska. He will do one indoor and one outdoor pot. The two pots will then be auctioned off and the money will go into the Master Gardener fund to help pay for the cost of this class.
Special gift items will be presented to the early attendees of this event. In addition, there will be tables featuring Master Gardeners selling their unique plant labels & magnets, 2014 MG Calendars and information on the new Dream Garden Raffle for 2014.
The goal of the Master Gardeners is to pack the room and fill up two large barrels with can goods for Omaha Food Bank in addition to providing some key insights into the art of fall dried arrangements.
If you thought the 2013 spring “Container Garden Design Event” was ‘Great’, this special first time fall dried class will knock your socks off.
