“Transitioning from Academia to Industry” will be presented by David Adle, PhD, scientist, Methods Development, Celerion.

Adle graduated from UNL with a PhD in biochemistry from Jaekwon Lee’s lab and did post doc at Yale University studying ubiquitin-proteasome dependent protein degradation. He then transitioned into the private sector working at Protein Sciences Inc. (Meriden, CT) during their approval of the first recombinant influenza virus vaccine (FluBlokTM). Adle then returned to Nebraska and worked as an R&D scientist at Streck (Omaha, NE) who specializes in clinical laboratory cellular controls. He was recently appointed to launch cell-based assay capabilities at Celerion (Lincoln, NE) who specializes in early-phase clinical trial drug development.
