CICL 803 is a sequential class to CICL 802. Students will be instructed to continue building up more sophisticated Chinese language skills, particularly in understanding some short Chinese poems and articles at their age appropriate levels, and writing short compositions themselves under the teacher’s guidance. At the end of this semester, students will be able to use words, characters, and grammar points learned to write simple descriptive articles to recite approximately three new Chinese classical poems, and to master 60 more new Chinese characters sufficient for taking the Chinese Proficiency Test at the Level 4.
