CICL 806 is a sequential class to CICL 805. Having had learned several Chinese poems of Tang, Song, and Yuan dynasties, students will continue to learn more poems and verses selected as representative ones from different periods of Chinese poetry. At the same time, students will start to learn modern poetry which are carefully selected in accordance to their cognitive levels. Reading and writing skills will be further strengthened in this class. Students will be able to recite and understand 5 classic poems and one modern poem, and master about 100 Chinese characters. All students will be encouraged to take HSK level 5 or 6 at the end of the class.
