A talk be Steven Shaviro, the De Roy Professor of English at Wayne State University
Dr. Shaviro will focus on three films: (1) Gyorgy Palfi, Taxidermia (Hungary, 2006; this one is available through Netflix both as DVD rental and streaming); (2) Dusan Makavejev, WR: Mysteries of the Organism (Yugoslavia, 1972; this one can be purchased as DVD through amazon.com); and (3) Mladen Djordjevic, Life and Death of a Porno Gang (Serbia, 2009).
