Marilee Lindemann (Associate Professor of English, Director LGBT Studies, University of Maryland) will give the second Woodress lecture on Thursday September 20, 3:30, at the Center for Great Plains Studies, 1155 Q Street. The Woodress lecture commemorates the life and work of James Woodress, an eminent Willa Cather critic and biographer. Professor Lindemann’s talk is entitled ‘Willa Cather and the Lavender Scare’ and is free (all invited). The lecture will be of great interest to students of Cather, women’s literature, and LGBT Studies.
