The University of Nebraska, Michigan State University, University of Minnesota, and Iowa State University will present an Equine Business Management conference on Saturday, February 25, 2012.

Each state will host a simultaneous Extension conference focusing on liability, business finance, marketing, and insurance for equine owners. There will be a single presenter at each of 4 locations while the other three presentations will be broadcast through an interactive webinar.

Additionally, each site will host a concluding round table discussion that will include successful local equine business entrepreneurs to discuss networking and strategies for dealing with issues unique to each state.

Plan to attend this unique conference to increase your horse business knowledge to equine professionals and explore opportunities of employment or business development in the equine industry.

Cost of the conference will be $30 and it is sponsored in part by a grant from the North Central Regional Center for Rural Development.

Registration will be required and information can soon be found at to horse.unl.edu and click on “Producer Information”, or contact Kathy Anderson, UNL Extension Horse Specialist.
