Graduate students in the MFA program at UNL will host an Open Studios event on Friday, Nov. 13 from 5-8 p.m.

Open Studios is an opportunity for the public to explore the creative studios of artists in the MFA program, working in ceramics, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and social practice. Visitors will have the chance to see developing artworks in progress, to ask questions about processes and ideas, and to make personal connections with artists whose work moves them.

Refreshments will be served, and admission to the event is free.

Raffle tickets will be sold for artworks donated by MFA candidates, which raises funds for the upcoming thesis exhibits in the spring. Raffle tickets are sold for $1 each or six for $5. The raffle will end at 7:45 p.m. on the evening of the event. Winners need not be present to win.

Artist studios are in Richards Hall and Woods Art Building on UNL’s City Campus. Richards Hall in located at the corner of Stadium Dr and T St. Woods Art Building is located just southeast of Richards, next to the Sheldon Museum of Art.
