The International Master Gardener Conference 2015 is a probably a once in a lifetime event coming to Council Bluffs. The conference is packed morning to night offering eighty one (81) wide ranging breakout sessions with speakers from across the country as well as some “local talent”, tours and a trade show. The scope of the sessions will range from basic to advanced and a number of these sessions will be small and hands on for those that want to get their hands dirty or explore a topic in greater depth. Several of the presenters will be available for book signings after their presentations as well. In addition to the break out session speakers there are three (3) well known key note speakers: J Schwanke, Mark Hirsch and Gary Oppenheimer. We will also have short presentations by groups from Korea and Canada. Wednesday evening at the dinner there will be Search for Excellence awards presentation, our local Giving Garden did place 3rd in their category.
The cost of the conference includes all meals, beverages and snacks with the exception of the Thursday evening meal.
There are also opportunities for pre and post tours, conference tours and an all-day landscape design course.
