Affordable, Sustainable Marketing - a Regional Foods Supply Chain Conversation

Date:
Time:
2:00 pm
9 South Chargrill
1204 Park Drive
Hickman NE
Help us explore ways to work together to make Nebraska’s local food supply chain more efficient and less expensive.
Several folks in the local farm to market arena have talked recently about the challenges and the high costs associated with accessing geographically dispersed growers to accumulate enough product to meet market demand. Multiple entities are running trucks over large distances to serve customers.
Are there ways we could work together to drive down logistics costs, while improving aggregation and providing better service to customers? Let’s see if we can find ways to improve the system.
Anyone interested in a more effective system for aggregation, transportation, storage and distribution of locally produced food is invited to join the conversation. Food coops, aggregators, producers, food hubs and retailers should be part of this conversation.

When: August 23, 2:00 p.m.
Where: 9 South Chargrill, 1204 Park Drive, Hickman NE.

We hope that you will join the conversation.
